How did you get into the sport of quad freestyle?
Well it was kind of like pieces of a puzzle. Back in ’03 and ’04 I was racing the nationals and if I won a moto I would do a little trick. Then that turned into finding the biggest jump around so I could do tricks off of it. After that my good friend Caleb Moore had a show in Englishtown, NJ where I witnessed my first quad backflip. I was instantly hooked. That weekend was actually the last race I ever raced. I did go out with a bang though, I got my 15 seconds of fame on ESPN2 [Laughing]. I bugged Caleb for a while and he said I could come down and try to do a backflip. So I trucked down to Texas from Ohio and learned to flip. After that I kinda just stuck around in the Quad Freestyle scene.
